We are proud of being able to offer the widest choice, the greatest individual flexibiity and the most appropriate courses for each of our students. At Cowes, almost all courses are run over one year which means fewer subjects at one time, more focused learning and greater choice.

Our emphasis is always on individual achievement and we try wherever possible to tailor our curriculum to the needs of each student. By running courses over one year, we are able to greatly increase the offer made to students during a two-year Key Stage of study. Some courses for example may only run in odd years freeing teachers and resources to offer a different course in even years. In 2010-11 we will offer Japanese at GCSE. In 2011-12 we will offer another modern foreign language.
